Some outdoor gym facilities are specially built for the elderly to engage in light exercise. Three Things I Know About Her adopts one of these forms, designed for users to rub their backs without additional help, to scratch and gently activate the back muscles.

Bent, built, and welded by the artist, with multiple mini vibrators vibrating inside, the sculpture serves as both a standing musical instrument and a recreation of memories and reflections on the act of caring. It belongs to the series of Ran Zhou’s sculptures that discuss the phenomenon of the left-behind elderly.

The sculpture contains moveable roller parts and will become a part of a stage performance in the near future.
